  • Board Matters
    • Prepare and report Monthly/Quarterly Financial Statements for Board Meetings
    • Present Monthly/Quarterly Budget for Board's review and approval
    • Liaise with Board on finance matters as and when required - Audit, SOPs, etc
  • Internal Control
    • Implement Integrated Finance Standard Operating Procedure Manual (AAS and Eden School)
    • Review/revise Policies, SOPs and Procedures to comply with recommended practices 
    • Work with HODs and staff on SOP adherence
  • External Audit Process
    • Ensure Financial Schedules are prepared (includes audit schedules) before Audit starts
    • Liaise with external auditors on audit requirements
    • Provide information for queries at Audit Committee Meeting
  • Budget Process
    • Brief all departments on the Budget requirements
    • Liaise with HODs on Budget preparation and the required documentation
    • Consolidate budget and submit for verification to Principal/Senior Managers/Treasures
    • Monitoring of actual expenditure to ensure that purchases are within budget
  • Monitor Day-To-Day Finance Operations
    • Review/submit Monthly Management Reports to School Supervisor/Principal/Senior Managers
    • Verify and submit Grant Reports to the relevant agencies
    • Verify all QRARs/PRs/Payments and Journal Vochers and Vet GL Closing Reports
    • Submit Annual Survey of Services
    • Monitor and advise on Grants Utilization.
  • Supervision & Professional Development of Finance Team
    • Staffing
    • Performance Review Process
  • Any other duties as assigned by Principal and/or AA(S) Senior Manager, Corporate Services


  • A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications like ACCA
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience with at least one year handling full set of accounts, if possible
  • Must be IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Be able to work independently and has good communication skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience in a school environment will be an advantage
