JOB OVERVIEW

As a Lab Head, you will be responsible for oversees the overall operations, quality assurance, and strategic management of the laboratory. This leadership role ensures compliance with industry standards, optimizes workflows, and maintains the highest levels of accuracy and reliability in calibration services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, supervise, and manage the laboratory team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plan and execute workflows to meet client deadlines and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee and ensure accurate calibration of electrical instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, and other devices.
• Verify that all calibration activities comply with relevant standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to calibration processes.
• Implement and maintain the laboratory's quality management system.
• Prepare for and manage external audits and accreditation assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Communicate with clients to understand their calibration needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Prepare and review calibration certificates and reports to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
• Keep the team updated on industry trends, new technologies, and standards.
• Manage the procurement, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment and tools.
• Monitor and optimize lab budgets and resources.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
• Introduce new technologies and methodologies to enhance service offerings.
