PRESCHOOL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

• SALARY: $4.5k - $7.5k
• 5 DAYS WORK WEEK
• LOCATION: NEAR LABRADOR MRT

The Preschool Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the preschool's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations. This role involves overseeing building maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections to create a secure and conducive learning environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Maintenance & Repairs

• Oversee the maintenance of the preschool's buildings, classrooms, playgrounds, and other facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure timely repairs of any damaged furniture, fixtures, or equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repair and maintenance work.

2. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine safety checks on fire alarms, emergency exits, and first aid equipment.
• Implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and hazards.
• Work closely with school management to maintain a secure and hygienic environment.

3. Inventory & Equipment Management

• Manage and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all tools and materials are stored safely and used appropriately.
• Monitor and control maintenance budgets and expenses.

4. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Source and liaise with vendors for repairs, renovations, and facility upgrades.
• Supervise contracted work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Negotiate service agreements and monitor contractor performance.

5. Emergency Response & Crisis Management

• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies such as power failures, water leaks, or safety hazards.
• Develop contingency plans for emergency maintenance situations.
• Assist in evacuation drills and emergency preparedness efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Familiarity with workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance work.
