Job Description:

Hurda Metals is seeking a Coordinator (Scrap Materials) with an electrical background to manage site operations, dismantling, and material coordination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the collection, dismantling, and transportation of scrap materials such as trunking, cables, and electrical components. This role requires hands-on experience in electrical dismantling, logistics coordination, and supplier communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Operations & Dismantling: Visit sites daily to dismantle electrical trunking, cables, and other electrical scrap materials.
  Supervise and assist in dismantling operations while ensuring safety compliance.
  Coordinate with site personnel to plan dismantling schedules efficiently.
• Logistics & Material Handling: Organize and oversee the collection, sorting, and transportation of dismantled materials.
  Ensure smooth loading, unloading, and movement of scrap materials in the yard.
  Track shipments and maintain an organized inventory system.
• Supplier & Buyer Coordination: Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and customers regarding material collection and sales.
  Negotiate rates and ensure competitive pricing for scrap materials.
  Address inquiries and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of dismantled materials, stock levels, and purchase orders.
  Prepare and manage invoices, delivery orders, and weighbridge tickets.
  Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and environmental standards.

Requirements:

• Must have an electrical background with experience in dismantling electrical systems (trunking, cables, panels, etc.).
• Prior experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry is preferred.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in various site conditions and handle physical tasks.
