Roles & Responsibilities

The Electrical Supervisor will oversee and manage electrical installations for various projects at various sites. This includes supervising the electrical team, ensuring work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and standards, and troubleshooting issues efficiently. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision & Leadership:
  • Supervise a team of electricians, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Assign tasks to team members, ensuring proper work distribution.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.

2. Project Management:
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.

3. Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor the work site for safety hazards and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents.

4. Quality Control:
  • Conduct inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that work is done efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

6. Inventory & Equipment Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels for electrical materials and tools.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

7. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Provide detailed reports of work done, inspection results, and incident reports.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, team performance, and operational issues.

8. Coordination:
  • Coordinate with other supervisors, engineers, and departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective project execution.
  • Communicate any electrical issues or concerns to management promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • A diploma or technical trade certificate in a related field is required.

Experience:
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience with 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Certifications:
  • BCSS, MWAH, and Lifting Cert.
  • Valid SG driving licence.
  • First aid and safety certifications are an advantage.

Skills:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
