This organisation is a leading operator of critical industrial infrastructure in Singapore, supporting essential energy and logistics activities. Due to internal mobility, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager.
Role
Reporting to Terminal Management, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance function to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. You will own the terminal's maintenance strategy, drive reliability and integrity outcomes across critical assets (tanks, pipelines, structures and safety-critical equipment), and manage both sustaining and growth CAPEX delivery. This role requires strong operational discipline, hands-on leadership, and the ability to translate data into practical improvements. You will work closely with Operations, Projects, HSE and Procurement to deliver maximum uptime, ensure statutory compliance, and build a strong maintenance culture.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical or related discipline), with at least 6 years of relevant experience in high-hazard industrial environments such as terminals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, power generation, or process industries. The ideal profile is a structured and hands-on leader with strong reliability and maintenance fundamentals, solid project management capability, and confidence working in a demanding operational setting.

Role
Reporting to Terminal Management, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance function to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. You will own the terminal's maintenance strategy, drive reliability and integrity outcomes across critical assets (tanks, pipelines, structures and safety-critical equipment), and manage both sustaining and growth CAPEX delivery. This role requires strong operational discipline, hands-on leadership, and the ability to translate data into practical improvements. You will work closely with Operations, Projects, HSE and Procurement to deliver maximum uptime, ensure statutory compliance, and build a strong maintenance culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute terminal maintenance strategy aligned to internal standards, statutory requirements, and industry best practices
- Lead the Maintenance team and manage contractors/service providers to ensure effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance
- Own CMMS governance and asset data integrity (e.g., Infor EAM / equivalent), including work orders, planning, scheduling, and documentation control
- Drive reliability initiatives, root cause investigations and continuous improvement programs to reduce recurring failures and improve equipment availability
- Establish preventive maintenance programs and ensure effective reporting, follow-up actions, and audit-ready record keeping
- Drive asset integrity planning to prevent inspection backlog for tanks, pipelines, structures and safety-critical equipment
- Manage departmental resources and budgets, including prioritisation of work, manpower allocation, and cost control
- Lead technical input into procurement and tendering processes to ensure competitive pricing and quality outcomes
- Manage sustaining and growth CAPEX projects, including scope definition, schedule management, cost estimation, execution governance and operational handover
