Job Description:

Lead Banking IT Projects with Expertise in Access, SQL, and Team Management

• Develop and maintain EUC tools primarily using Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Develop and maintain other systems using SSIS, Stored Procedures, PowerShell scripts, SQL Server, and general database technologies on Windows Server.
• Manage the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a Waterfall environment.
• Lead and manage a team of 3-4 engineers, while also handling individual tasks.
• Serve as the interface with stakeholders, mainly the Bank IT Department.
• Ensure clear communication with end users, translating technical matters into simple explanations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Business-level Japanese proficiency to liaise with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and clients.
• Prior working experience as a consultant in an established consulting firm is a must.
• Experienced in Banking IT department & projects preferred.
• Hands-on development experience with any programming language.
• Strong experience with databases and server-related technologies (SSIS, Stored Procedures, PowerShell scripts, SQL Server, Windows Server).
• Ability to think logically and explain complex issues to non-IT users.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to strict banking IT policies and controlled development environments.
• Experience managing end-to-end SDLC in a Waterfall approach.
• Team management experience and proactive communication style.
• Experience with Microsoft Access VBA (forms, queries, modules, tables, reports, macros) and development experience using .NET or C# are a plus.
