Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with Singapore electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. The role involves inspecting electrical installations in power-plant construction projects to verify that works meet contractual and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and installations for compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.
• Review electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure proper installation.
• Identify and document code violations, safety hazards, and required corrections.
• Issue inspection reports detailing findings and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and property owners to ensure compliance.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to confirm corrective actions have been completed.
• Stay up to date with electrical codes, regulations, and industry advancements.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical safety and compliance.
• Investigate electrical complaints, accidents, and hazardous conditions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Valid Electrical Inspector certification (e.g., ICC, IAEI, NFPA, or Singapore local certification).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, installation, or related field.
• Thorough knowledge of Singapore local electrical codes.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in inspection tools, electrical testing devices, and relevant software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SP Group projects or power-plant construction inspections in Singapore.
• Familiarity with permit processing and reporting systems.
• ATEX or IECEx certification, or LEW qualification.
• Additional certifications in electrical safety or related fields.
• Knowledge of EMA Regulatory-Transmission Code.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Work may involve indoor and outdoor environments, including construction sites.
• May require overtime.
• Occasional exposure to electrical hazards and construction conditions.
