The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Engineer to take a leading role in designing and engineering complete backup power solutions for major data center projects across the APAC region. As the key technical expert, you will manage the entire solution lifecycle, from the initial tendering phase and technical design through to successful project execution, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class, mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Tendering & Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to define the technical scope, review customer specifications, and develop comprehensive proposals for complex data center projects.
• Solution Design & Engineering: Lead the design of electrical and associated mechanical systems for walk-in genset enclosures. You will perform sizing calculations, select critical equipment, and prepare all necessary technical drawings and documentation.
• Project Execution Support: Oversee the technical aspects of project delivery, verifying shop drawings, collaborating with suppliers and factories, and providing expert support to the project execution team to resolve any on-site technical issues.

Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the diesel engine or generator industry, with a track record of successfully delivered projects.
• Solid technical understanding of both the electrical systems and the supporting mechanical systems (cooling, fuel, ventilation) of a diesel generator set.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure and power protection systems would be a major advantage.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Willingness to travel regionally as required.
