Objectives of this role

• Managing electrical projects from conceptualisation to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical designers, contractors and project managers, to develop project plans and budgets.
• Conducting site assessments to determine project feasibility and gather technical requirements.
• Overseeing electrical system installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards and project specifications.

Your tasks

• Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets for electrical projects for our clients.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure electrical plans meet technical requirements and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures throughout project phases.
• Monitor and report on project progress; identify and address potential issues.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to electrical codes and standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, electrical codes and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical project management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, systems and components.
• Proficiency in project management software and electrical design tools.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality electrical projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in electrical engineering.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence or relevant certifications.
