Principal Security Architect (AI)

We're looking for a principal security architect to shape secure-by-design AI platforms across the full AI/ML lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of AI security, governance, and operations, enabling scalable AI adoption while managing risk, compliance, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define security architecture for AI/ML platforms across data, model, deployment, and access layers
• Apply AI/ML security controls to mitigate risks such as model misuse, data leakage, bias, adversarial attacks, and LLM prompt exploitation
• Perform threat modelling for AI systems, translating risks into enforceable technical controls
• Embed security across the end-to-end AI lifecycle, from development and training to deployment, monitoring, and retirement
• Integrate privacy, compliance, and governance requirements into AI platform design
• Drive Responsible AI and Explainable AI practices to ensure transparency, trust, and regulatory alignment
• Review AI architectures, third-party models, and platform integrations from a security perspective
• Partner with engineering, security, and governance teams to operationalise AI security standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, AI/ML, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, or secure systems architecture, with at least 3 years focused on AI or cloud-based ML systems
• Strong background in cybersecurity or secure systems architecture, with hands-on exposure to AI/ML platforms
• Proven experience securing AI workloads in cloud environments
• Practical expertise in AI threat modelling and risk assessment
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps, MLOps/LLMOps, and operational security controls
• Solid understanding of data protection, privacy controls, and modern security frameworks
• Ability to influence architecture and security decisions across cross-functional teams
