Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities(For Technician with LPR experience):
Typical daily responsibilities for an LPR parking technician may include:
- Perform corrective/preventive maintenance of CCTV Surveillance System and other Security Systems
- Work with contractor to executive ad-hoc work orders
- Assist Senior Service Engineer to plan the Preventive Maintenance Schedule
- Troubleshooting CCTV Surveillance System
- Candidate must possess at least ITE/Diploma/Degree in IT System or Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent with relevant experience
- Candidates without prior experience are welcomed to apply
- Basic knowledge on Window servers and Milestone VMS system troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge on Local Area Networking switch configuration and VLANs

- Installation and Configuration: Setting up LPR cameras, servers, and networking infrastructure in new or retrofitted parking facilities.
- System Maintenance: Performing routine checks and preventive maintenance on LPR equipment (cameras, barriers, payment machines) to ensure reliable operation in various weather and lighting conditions.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and resolving hardware (e.g., camera focus issues, network connectivity) and software problems (e.g., database errors, recognition accuracy issues).
- Data Management: Working with the system's database to verify vehicle data, manage permit holder lists, and assist with preparing reports for management or law enforcement.
- Integration Support: Ensuring seamless integration with other systems, such as payment gateways, access control barriers, and existing security platforms.
- Training and Support: Providing training and technical support to parking facility staff on how to use and manage the LPR system effectively.
- Essential Skills and Qualifications
- To excel in an LPR parking technician role, strong technical and analytical skills are essential:
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IP camera systems, networking (TCP/IP), and computer hardware/software.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with LPR software and related database management systems is often required.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and fix technical issues efficiently to minimize system downtime.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for ensuring accurate plate identification and data logging.
- Communication: Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and providing customer support.
- Certifications: Relevant IT or security system certifications can be advantageous.
