POSITION : Geologist/Environmental Geologist.

REPORTS TO : Laboratory Manager

MAIN FUNCTION : Be involved in project plan, coordination, and operation. Attend the project meeting if required. Day-to-day site operation to ensure works is constructed as per project & safety requirement.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.
• Develop, improve, or customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, or analytical methods.
• Ensuring projects are compliant with ISO standards and meet all associated requirements
• Promoting a culture of safety within the organisation

• Establishing supply chain, marketing and technical service policies and practices

• Developing strategic plans and ensuring execution once approved by directors

• Monitoring activities to ensure operations meet the highest standards
• Developing new and improving existing products and processes and applying new technologies
• Expertise in Equipments like ICP-MS, LA ICPMS,XRD, IRMS, LPSA,SEM & GCMS an added advantage.
• Expertise in GIS Tools

Job Requirements:

• Masters in Geology/ Marine Geology, Research experience will be an advantage.
• Three years experience required, training will be provided.
• Relevant experiences in the similar area will be of advantage.
