About the role

This is a full-time role based in the East Region, supporting the Airfreight (Import) operations at Geodis Singapore Pte. Ltd. As an Operations Officer/Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of freight and cargo for our customers.

WORKING HOURS:

• Monday - Friday: 1000AM - 1900PM, Saturday: 1000AM - 1400PM

KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible to the Operation Manager, your duties will include but not necessarily be limited to:
• Ensure all import incoming shipments handled on time
• Communication on all Import requirements with internal and external customers
• Filling up the rates sheet/SOP, communicating with customer & origin for shipment activation
• Troubleshooting all Import incoming shipment issues
• Handle pre-alert, all import documentation and uploading of documents in eDoc
• Identify areas of improvement through daily Import Operation
• Work closely with vendor management transport team to meet customer service requirements and expectations
• Keeping track and updating of Import Shipment log
• Daily IRIS milestone updating (including weekends & holidays) to meet GEODIS Singapore KPI
• Ensure Airfreight KPI are met
• Communicate and plan adequate manpower resources to support the operation
• Prepare 8D/CAR reports

ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL AND / OR TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATES
• GCE 'N' level or above
• Or equivalent certification in logistic related field preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Minimum of 2 years experiences of air operations in the airfreight industry.
• Good airfreight and air cargo knowledge.

NECESSARY TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
• Competent in computer skills and common applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
• Strong in interpersonal communication
• Team management - ability to lead, guide, support and develop the team members
