Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and driving the development and execution of growth strategies. As a business development individual within the start-up organization, the successful candidate will need to possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Extend Networks (X10) is pioneering the concept of "satellite IOT" capability and needs an individual comfortable with paving new ground to help commercialize the solutions.

This person is responsible for establishing strategic business development initiatives that drive business growth through product expansion, new technologies or services, follow-on products or industries, partnerships, and alliances. Develops and/or manages positive ongoing relationships between the organization and customers in strategic markets by cultivating relationships. Manages revenue goals for the given account/client.

Essential functions:

• \tDevelop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

• \tIdentify and engage with potential new business opportunities on growing X10 IOT Satcom solutions.

• \tProactively identify and engage with new business prospects to grow X10's Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) business.

• \tAnalyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities with both existing and emerging new satellite prospects.

• \tPrepare and deliver presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and in-space servicing solutions.

• \tCommunicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the function or business area and frequently briefings with executive team.

• \tAttend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company to maintain a strong presence in the IOT/Satcom community.

• \tBuild systems and frameworks for tracking business development activities and performance metrics.

• \tRecommends and implements strategies and develops operational plans/goals that directly impact the mid- to long-term function or business area achievements.

• \tResponsible for account management and relationships with existing customers.

• \tUnderstand the IOT/Satcom community budgets and trends, understand current and future domestic market space, understand competitor's strategies and strengths; be able to research new markets and identify potential customers.

• \tFlexibility to travel, up to 70% of regional travel as needed.

Qualifications:

• \tBachelor's degree with a combination of business and technical background is strongly desired.

• \tProven track record of developing and executing growth strategies and establishing strategic partnerships within the Satcom/Technology industry.

• \tStrong understanding of satellite/IOT/M2M technologies, and the space industry landscape.

• \tExcellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

• \tHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• \tEntrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work independently and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

• \tExperience with senior level management and leadership skills to lead cross-department project teams and manage across the function.

• \tAbility to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed people, esp. SEA and Greater China region.

• \tRequires strong interpersonal communication skills - Spoken and written skills in English and Mandarin.

• \tWillingness to travel as needed.
