Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to lead and drive our growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new market opportunities, managing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth in alignment with the company's business objectives. This role requires a proactive and commercially minded individual with a proven track record in B2B business development, preferably within Construction, Medical, Marine or Semicon industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and potential partnerships.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closure.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, operations, and engineering to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to refine strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Prepare and present periodic sales and business development reports to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Min. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in a B2B or technical/industrial setting.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic client relationships and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings and business development activities.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., Mandarin) is an added advantage.
  • Experience with public sector projects or tender processes will be added advantage, but not mandatory.
