We are supporting a global engineering manufacturer in their search for a Business Development Sales Engineer to join their Asia team. The company is well-regarded for delivering high-quality mechanical components used in critical industrial applications, with a strong presence across multiple sectors including power generation, heavy industry, and infrastructure.

This Singapore-based role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically adept and commercially driven professional to take ownership of market development efforts within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Singapore and neighboring markets.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, end users, and channel partners.
• Promote and provide technical consultation on mechanical drive solutions to industrial clients.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into effective proposals and solutions.
• Manage the entire sales process - from prospecting and technical qualification to negotiation and closing.
• Support the introduction of new offerings and value propositions in the region.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, prepare regular reports, and manage CRM tools effectively.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met with timely and appropriate support.
• Manage any account-related escalations, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, ideally in mechanical or industrial solutions.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Solid understanding of industrial applications such as manufacturing, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to identify new market opportunities and handle complex solution-based sales.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Regional experience and willingness to travel for business within Southeast Asia.
