Accounting Duties:
- Invoice Processing:
Creating, sending, and filing invoices.
Processing supplier invoices and payments. - Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Recording payments and receipts.
Following up on overdue payments.
Reconciling accounts. - Bookkeeping:
Entering financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., Xero).
Maintaining financial records and ledgers. - Bank Reconciliation:
Matching internal records with bank statements. - Payroll Support:
Assisting with preparing and processing payroll.
Handling basic staff expense claims. - Financial Reporting Support:
Assisting with month-end or year-end reports.
Helping auditors or accountants with required documentation.
Administrative Duties:
- Document Management:
Filing, scanning, and organizing financial and administrative documents. - Office Coordination:
Ordering office supplies.
Scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars. - Communication:
Answering phones and emails.
Liaising with vendors, customers, and service providers. - Data Entry & Record Keeping:
Updating employee records.
Entering data into spreadsheets or databases. - HR Admin Support (if required) :
Assisting with onboarding paperwork.
Maintaining timesheets or leave records.
Skills Usually Required:
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills
