Summary:
A leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic sales growth and strengthen client relationships. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in the logistics sector, particularly those with a background in Chemical and FMCG verticals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet organizational sales targets.
- Set short- and long-term sales objectives aligned with company goals.
- Forecast and manage annual sales quotas, revenue, and profitability.
- Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining existing relationships.
- Provide outstanding service to clients, analyzing logistics lanes for competitiveness.
- Conduct financial analyses to evaluate profitability and customer performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing strategies.
- Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
- Oversee sales team performance and support ongoing sales initiatives.
- Prepare reports and business updates for management as needed.
- Support other sales-related functions and strategic projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in the logistics industry.
- Preferably with 3PL background, specializing in Chemical and FMCG verticals.
- In-depth knowledge of contract logistics, fulfillment, transportation, and freight services.
- Proven track record in business development and achieving revenue goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with sales planning, contract negotiation, and feasibility assessments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to work across all organizational levels.
- Willing to travel for business development and client engagement purposes as required
