Job Description
Position Overview:
The Business Development Executive / Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and securing new cleaning service contracts for the company. This role focuses on expanding the company's client base through proactive sales efforts and building relationships with potential customers. The Manager role would also focuses on securing contracts, managing client portfolios, and providing leadership to the business development team.
Key Responsibilities:
1.\tSales Development
• \tIdentify and approach potential clients within assigned territories or market segments
• \tConduct cold calls and follow up on leads to secure appointments
• \tPrepare and present comprehensive service proposals and quotations
• \tRespond to tenders and requests for quotations within required timeframes
• \tNegotiate contract terms within company guidelines
2.\tClient Relationship Management
• \tConduct site surveys to assess client requirements
• \tBuild and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients
• \tAddress client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
• \tCollaborate with operations team to ensure smooth service delivery
• \tCollect client feedback and communicate to relevant departments
• \tMay require occasional evening or weekend work for client meetings
3.\tMarket Research & Analysis
• \tMonitor market trends and competitor activities
• \tIdentify new market opportunities and potential service offerings
• \tGather intelligence on pricing trends and customer preferences
• \tContribute to the development of sales strategies and approaches
4.\tAdministrative Duties
• \tMaintain accurate records in the company's system
• \tPrepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports
• \tDocument client requirements and contract specifications
• \tManage sales-related documentation and filing systems
• \tTrack and report on sales pipeline and conversion rates
5.\tProfessional Development
• \tStay updated on industry developments and cleaning technologies
• \tParticipate in sales training and professional development activities
• \tContribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing
6.\tKey Account Management (Manager role)
• \tPersonally manage relationships with major clients and key accounts
• \tDevelop account growth strategies for existing clients
• \tOversee contract negotiations for agreements
• \tResolve complex client issues and ensure service excellence
• \tCoordinate cross-departmental efforts for key accounts
7.\tStrategic Planning & Reporting (Manager role)
• \tContribute to the company's strategic planning process
• \tProvide regular reports to senior management on sales performance
• \tAnalyse competitive landscape and provide strategic insights
• \tCollaborate with operations and finance on service delivery planning
• \tRepresent the company at industry events and networking forums
8.\tTeam Leadership (If applicable)
• \tLead, coach, and mentor business development executives
• \tSet and monitor individual and team performance targets
• \tConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
• \tImplement effective sales processes and methodologies
• \tFacilitate regular team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
• \tDiploma or higher in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
• \t1-3 years of experience in sales or business development roles
• \t5+ years of experience in sales or business development roles for Managerial role, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or team leader capacity
• \tStrong understanding of contract terms and negotiation principles
• \tProficient in Microsoft Office suite
• \tFluent in English
• \tValid driving license will be preferred
Preferred Experience:
• \tPrevious experience in B2B sales
• \tFamiliarity with the cleaning industry, facility management or hospitality industry
• \tExperience with quotation preparation, submission and pitching
• \tTrack record of achieving sales targets
