Our client is an innovative fintech startup transforming how businesses and individuals interact with financial services across Asia Pacific. They focus on cutting-edge digital solutions, ranging from embedded finance and digital payments to alternative lending and wealthtech. They are looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join their growing team and support the expansion of their footprint across the APAC region. Key Responsibilities:

Market Expansion & Lead Generation

  • Identify, target, and engage prospective clients, partners, and channels across the APAC region.
  • Develop and manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting through to closing, across diverse fintech use cases.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders at target accounts-including banks, financial institutions, digital platforms, and merchants.
  • Conduct client meetings (virtual and onsite) across the region to present tailored solutions and proposals.

Strategy & Execution

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory shifts to inform business strategy and GTM initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, tech) to ensure successful onboarding and implementation.

Travel & Regional Collaboration

  • Travel across APAC (~20%) to attend client meetings, networking events, and regional conferences.
  • Represent the company at industry events and contribute to local market insights and community engagement.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales-ideally in fintech, SaaS, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and close business opportunities in complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with financial technologies, digital banking, payments, APIs, or embedded finance is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (~20%).
