Business Development Manager

• Working Hours: Monday-Friday [8.30am - 5.45pm]
• Location: Kaki Bukit
• Salary: $6,000-$7,000

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development.
• Knowledge of automation technology or equipment contract manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Jobs Scope:

• Contribute to achieving long-term strategic plans for expansion into key markets.
• Collaborate with Senior Management to develop selection criteria and key negotiation terms for technology licensing, joint ventures, or other collaboration methods.
• Identify areas of opportunity and focus for product and service recommendations.
• Identify potential new markets locally and abroad, and create a plan to enter these markets.
• Develop and utilize market knowledge to identify, develop, and support the Company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Analyse customer research, current market trends, and conditions to inform strategic decisions.
• Research, build, develop, and enhance relationships with key business consultants, government entities, industry associations, and academic institutions to turn these into business opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with development/applications engineering to develop automation concepts that address customers' manufacturing challenges and achieve company profitability targets.
• Work with internal teams to develop cost models and provide timely responses to Requests for Quotations/Proposals.
• Lead marketing activities such as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and promotional materials, and provide feedback and information on market trends.
• Plan and prepare presentations and conduct information sessions and other events to enhance existing and new relationships.
