Roles & Responsibilities

Roles:

• Responsible for the import and inventory management of LPG at the Korea Terminals
• Includes daily market analysis, purchasing planning and inventory management based on forecasted sales, and performance management on a daily basis.
• Long-term responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase LPG at the optimal time based on sales forecasts for domestic, commercial and petrochemical use in Korea.

- Maintain close communication with the domestic sales department and the Petrochemical sales department

at headquarters to assess purchase demands.

• Operate inventory by establishing term and spot purchase contracts through the global market.

- Maintain friendly relations with Middle Eastern and North American suppliers, trading companies, etc.

• Analyze global market prices, domestic prices in Korea, and petrochemical sales prices to negotiate the best purchase timing and price.
• Conduct paper transactions for profit optimization and risk management.
• Track and manage real-time P/L reflecting purchase contracts and expected sales, and report to management immediately when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and being able to engage internal stakeholders frequently to create synergy effects across the business.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
• At least 4 years of experience in the LPG industry

Preferred Skills

• Experience in LPG trading preferred
• Understanding of the LPG futures market (Experience preferred)
• Understanding of Korea's domestic LPG market and petrochemical industry
• Understanding of Korean regulations related to LPG quality and inventory
• Knowledge of hedging strategies
• Basic understanding of the accounting impact on profit and loss per transaction
• Ability to prepare reports to explain the business status to HQ management when necessary
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Fluent communication in English
