Role Overview
As a Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, supporting the sales cycle, and building relationships with fund managers, investment firms, institutional clients, and other professional service providers. A. Roles & Responsibilities
- Contribute to new client acquisitions for fund administration, fund management, financial valuation, and compliance businesses.
- Research and identify potential clients in the private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge fund, digital asset funds, and asset management space.
- Generate leads through a mix of outbound outreach, networking, and industry events.
- Undertake market outreach programs based on strategic initiatives.
- Qualify leads and schedule introductory meetings for the senior sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and client interactions in CRM tools.
- Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, RFPs, and other marketing materials tailored to client needs.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and thought leadership efforts.
- Support the end-to-end business development pipeline, ensuring smooth handoffs between sales, onboarding, and client services teams.
B. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, client services, or business development role-preferably in financial services, accounting, audit, fund administration, or asset management.
- Basic understanding of investment fund structures, private markets, or financial services terminology (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with fund administration software is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written Mandarin & English skills are essential, and working experiences with Chinese background company is a plus.
