Our client, a leading quality food provider and wholesaler, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Business Development Manager for Dairy & Pastry category.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Category & Market Knowledge

• Develop deep insights into Singapore's market dynamics, including supply chains, suppliers, competitors, and global pricing trends.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure competitive advantages in supply and pricing.
• Track and analyze market movements to provide predictive insights for the company and customers.
• Identify optimal buying strategies and collaborate closely with procurement to manage stock effectively.
• Leverage global networks for category trends, new products, and supplier changes.

Sales & Growth

• Define category strategy, aligning product range with customer needs, pricing, and brand positioning.
• Maintain a product-customer matrix to streamline sales efforts across customer segments.
• Develop and deliver product training to sales and customer service teams.
• Drive product innovation to support key customers, improving sales and margins.
• Lead major business opportunities and market expansions.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, procurement, and suppliers to drive promotional activities.
• Ensure competitive pricing strategies to maximize margin and market positioning.
• Align demand forecasts with sales teams to prevent inventory issues and minimize stock write-offs.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Represent the company professionally in the supplier community, enhancing market credibility.
• Work with procurement to align purchasing strategies, ensuring price competitiveness and stock availability.
• Prioritize supplier partnerships that provide exclusive advantages to the company.
• Promote private label and own products where aligned with category strategy.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain or any relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in business development or sales, within the relevant product categories.
• Possess negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

• Location: West
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
• Salary: Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.
