Key Responsibilities:

• Promote company’s products and services to building contractors, specialist contractors and building materials dealers to achieve sales and profit targets
• Provide technical support and advice to customers and contractors
• Liaise with respective managers to gather product information, product pricing and inventory levels for the preparation of quotations
• Prepare product costings, pricings, quotations, and tenders
• Assist Senior Product Manager in organizing marketing activities and product demonstrations to architects, designers, developers, and contractors
• Maintain product inventories and liaise with principals / suppliers on shipment and delivery of goods
• Liaise with principals and Store Supervisor on the delivery of materials to customers
• Supervise Product Representatives in their sales activities
• Raise purchase requisitions and collection of payment from customers when falling due

Competence (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Understanding and knowledge of the Construction / Building / Architecture operating environment
• Skills in preparation of materials and presenting in small group settings (user demo and training, customer presentation)
• Skills in negotiation with customers, principals, and suppliers on requirements
• Skills in relating to and servicing the customers with a win-win mind set 
• Skills in managing the sales process, including sales proposal, costings, negotiation and closing the sales

Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge of in-house products
• Able to deal with routine tasks and perform tasks with some level of complexity
• Take decisions for own tasks in defined degree of freedom
• Able to solve problems in most cases and within guidelines
• Works independently within guidelines, defined procedures, and direction
• Adaptable to changes, new ideas and technologies to improve processes and efficiencies

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience preferably with building / technical product knowledge
