What you'll be doing
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within freight forwarding
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including SMEs and MNCs
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and onboarding
- Develop customized logistics solutions based on customer trade lanes and requirements
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and pricing teams to ensure service excellence
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management review
- Represent the company professionally in client meetings and industry engagements
What we're looking for
- Substantial experience (3-5 years) in a business development or sales role within the freight forwarding industry
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients at all levels
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills to interpret market data and inform strategy
- Familiarity with freight forwarding operations, regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
