APAC Regional Business Development Manager - EPIC® Connector


Job Purpose

The APAC Regional Business Development Manager for EPIC® Connectors is responsible for driving regional growth of the EPIC® portfolio by developing new design‑in opportunities, strengthening customer engagement, supporting local sales teams, and shaping APAC‑wide market strategy for connector solutions.


This role combines market developmenttechnical-commercial leadership, and cross‑regional collaboration to accelerate EPIC® penetration across key industries in APAC.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market, Customer & Competitor Insights

  • Develop and continuously update insights on market trendsindustry applicationscompetitive landscape, and key decision‑makers across APAC.
  • Identify emerging connector technologies (e.g., Industrial Ethernet, SPE, M12/M8) relevant for APAC growth.
  • Build business cases for new opportunities and strategic initiatives in priority APAC segments.

2. Sales Enablement & Technical Support

  • Equip APAC sales teams with EPIC®‑related sales toolstrainingproduct/application knowledge, and positioning materials.
  • Provide technical support during customer engagements, including connector selection, application fit, and solution proposal.

3. Business Development & Commercial Acceleration

  • Generate, prioritize, and manage design‑in opportunities for EPIC® connectors across APAC.
  • Support customer‑specific commercial offers, pricing preparation, and technical ‑commercial tenders.
  • Drive adoption of EPIC® across targeted OEMs, system integrators, and distribution channels.

4. Project & Pipeline Management

  • Own the APAC EPIC® project pipeline and ensure constant progress tracking, follow‑up, and conversion into revenue.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment with product management, operations, and country sales teams.

5. On‑Site Customer Engagement

  • Support key customer meetings, product evaluations, prototype discussions, and technical workshops across APAC.
  • Promote EPIC® portfolio during industry visits, exhibitions, and key accounts.

6. Solution & Portfolio Development

  • Provide structured feedback to the global EPIC® Business Unit on APAC customer needs and product gaps.
  • Identify opportunities for solution bundling (e.g., EPIC® + IC + Ölflex Connect) to enhance regional competitiveness.

7. Partner & Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with APAC distributors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Contribute to negotiations and joint go‑to‑market initiatives when relevant.

KPIs / Success Measures

  • Annual EPIC® revenue growth in APAC
  • Number and value of qualified design‑ins
  • Pipeline conversion and win rate
  • Sales enablement effectiveness (training reach, tool adoption)
  • Increase in EPIC® share with targeted OEMs & SI accounts
  • Contribution to regional connector strategy and portfolio shaping

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial connectivity, connectors, automation solutions, or B2B technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Ethernet, M12/M8 connectors, rectangular connectors, and related applications.
  • Proven business development experience across APAC markets.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders. Willingness to travel regionally.

  • Reports to: APAC CSO
  • Collaborates closely with: Global EPIC® Business Unit, Product Management EPIC®, Country Sales Leaders, APAC Strategic Marketing / Industry Development
