Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for getting in new clients.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients and identify sales leads to develop new business opportunity.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics sector.
  • Conduct market research to discover potential clients and industries.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to the management team.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, carriers and market conditions.
  • Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Possess minimum Diploma in Logistics or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant sales experience in logistics or freight forwarding
