Business Development Executive (Enviromental Services)

Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to grow our Environmental Services portfolio, focusing on pest control and commercial cleaning services. This role is responsible for acquiring new clients, managing sales pipelines, and securing recurring service contracts across commercial, industrial, and F&B sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for pest control and commercial cleaning services
  • Target commercial buildings, F&B outlets, offices, factories, schools, and managed facilities
  • Generate leads through cold calls, referrals, site visits, and networking
  • Present service solutions aligned with environmental health, hygiene, and regulatory requirements

Site Assessment & Proposal
  • Conduct preliminary site assessments (with technical support where required)
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable service programmes
  • Prepare quotations, service proposals, and contract terms
  • Follow up on proposals and close service agreements

Client & Account Management
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and managing agents
  • Support contract renewals and identify upselling opportunities
  • Coordinate with operations and supervisors to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Act as the main point of contact during onboarding of new clients

Compliance & Industry Awareness
  • Understand basic regulatory requirements (e.g. NEA, workplace hygiene standards)
  • Ensure proposed services align with environmental and safety standards
  • Communicate service scope clearly to avoid misalignment with operations

Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, and contracts
  • Update CRM or sales tracking tools
  • Prepare basic sales reports and forecasts

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience in business development or sales
  • Experience in pest control, commercial cleaning, facilities management, or environmental services is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable with B2B sales, cold outreach, and site visits
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google Sheets

Preferred Traits

  • Familiar with recurring service contracts and service agreements
  • Able to work independently and manage own sales pipeline
  • Willing to learn technical aspects of pest control and cleaning services
  • Possess own transport

Salary & Incentives

Base Salary: S$2,800 - S$3,500
Commission: Uncapped, based on closed contracts and recurring revenue

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Flexibility required for client meetings and site visits
