Role Purpose
Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth through client acquisition, relationship development, and strategic partnerships for the group. The role also provides marketing coordination and administrative support to the Group to enhance brand presence, client engagement, and operational efficiency.

Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth through client acquisition, relationship development, and strategic partnerships for the group. The role also provides marketing coordination and administrative support to the Group to enhance brand presence, client engagement, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the advisory group's client base and revenue across insurance and investment solutions.
- Identify target client segments and develop tailored acquisition approaches aligned with the group's strategic objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments relevant to advisory services
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Source, qualify, and onboard new clients through referrals, partnerships, and proactive business development efforts.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships grounded in trust, professionalism, and a strong understanding of client financial objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and deepening client relationships in collaboration with financial advisors.
3. Advisory Support & Deal Facilitation
- Work closely with the Group Director and financial advisors to support the structuring and presentation of insurance and investment solutions.
- Assist in managing the sales process, from initial engagement through to deal closure and handover to servicing teams.
- Support client meetings and follow-ups to ensure timely progression of opportunities.
4. Marketing & Brand Support
- Support the Group Director in executing basic marketing initiatives such as client communications, newsletters, seminars, and networking events.
- Coordinate marketing materials, presentations, and proposal documents in line with brand and compliance guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining the group's professional presence across approved channels.
- Track the effectiveness of marketing and client engagement activities and provide insights for improvement.
5. Administrative & Director Support
- Provide administrative support to the Group Director related to business development and client engagement activities.
- Assist with scheduling client meetings, preparing agendas, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline activity, and referral partnerships in CRM or internal systems.
- Support preparation of management reports, presentations, and performance summaries.
6. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure all business development, marketing, and client engagement activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes impacting advisory, marketing, and client communications.
7. Performance Management & Reporting
- Achieve agreed KPIs related to new client acquisition, revenue growth, assets under advisory, and referral development.
- Monitor and report on pipeline performance, marketing activities, and client engagement metrics.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Group Director to support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Business Development & Advisory Skills: Strong consultative selling capability within insurance and investment advisory contexts.
- Marketing Coordination: Ability to support basic marketing initiatives and client communications.
- Organization & Administration: Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and time management.
- Financial & Regulatory Awareness: Good understanding of financial products and compliance requirements.
- Professional Integrity: High ethical standards and client-first mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant licenses or certifications as required by local regulatory authorities.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders or leadership is an advantage.
