Our esteem client is looking for Assistant Export Control Manager to support and drive the governance of defence exports

Responsibilities:

• Manage import/export policies, procedures to ensure compliance with requirements, in accordance with Singapore Customs Act and U.S. Export Control Regulations
• Provide support and address end user queries
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international trade laws and regulations, including customs regulations, trade restrictions, and export controls
• Oversee and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory and compliance matters,
• Establish best practices for all export-controlled items, with documentation of their acquisition, use, disposal etc
• Prepare documentation and maintaining comprehensive records to facilitate internal audits and inspections by regulatory bodies
• Plan and support export compliance training seminars and other initiatives

Requirements

• Relevant Experience in governance and export controls
• Knowledge of the Singapore Strategic Good (Control) Act required
• Experience and knowledge of U.S. Export Control Regulations (ITAR, EAR, etc.) would be a plus
• Experience related to defence, military or highly regulated tech industries preferred
