We're seeking a strategic and driven Business Development & Communications Leader to spearhead growth initiatives, cultivate new revenue streams, and build lasting partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and commerce, with a passion for art and a sharp eye for opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth Planning
• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand gallery sales and visibility
• Identify and evaluate new markets, client segments, and partnership opportunities
2. Sales Channel Development
• Develop collaboration events and partnership opportunities to drive visibility, new channels for sales and productization opportunities.
• Establish and optimize online and offline sales channels, including e-commerce platforms, art fairs and pop-up exhibitions
• Develop and maintain the gallery's client and prospect database (CRM)
3. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Identify and cultivate relationships with collectors, advisors, and corporate partners
• Lead client acquisition efforts through targeted outreach, networking, and events
• Follow up on sales inquiries and arrange viewings
4. Marketing & Social Media
• Execute marketing campaigns aligned with the curator's creative direction and the gallery's overall strategy
• Develop and manage social media content calendars, turning curatorial themes into engaging social media content
• Draft captions, coordinate visuals, and ensure timely posting and audience engagement
• Monitor social media channels and respond to sales-related messages or leads
5. Performance & Reporting
• Track KPIs and sales performance metrics
• Provide regular reports and insights to gallery team
6. Team Collaboration
• Work closely with curators, marketing, and gallery staff to align business goals with artistic programming
• Collaborate with gallery team to build strategic marketing plans for artists
• Coordinate post-sale logistics with the team and relevant vendors
7. Event Support
• Collaborate with the curator and director on art fair and exhibition production, focusing on outreach, sponsorship, and sales follow-up
• Assist in preparing press materials, price lists, client decks, and other communication collateral
• Provide on-site support during openings, art fairs, and collector events
