Territory Manager (Gensets & Engines)

Backed by the power of Caterpillar, MWM has been developing and producing sustainable gas engines and gensets in Mannheim, Germany since 1871. MWM has become one of the world's leading suppliers of highly efficient and eco-friendly complete systems for distributed energy and heat generation (combined heat and power, cogeneration systems).

Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Territory Manager based in Singapore. The position will be the sales representative of MWM brand in Asia Pacific.

What You Will Do:
  • Full ownership of MWM business (and extended MWM portfolio) in the region, both from new engines sales and aftermarket service perspective
  • Business Development of new customers in region through direct and indirect channels, with focus on industrial applications (Metal & Mining, Chemical, Power generation, biogas power plants)
  • Close collaboration with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and Engineering FEED companies to ensure early engagement of MWM on all relevant projects , plus good connections with financing firms
  • Support of existing customers in the region through direct and indirect channels
  • Continuous development of the MWM presence in the assigned regions, including organization and participation on industrial workshops, conferences and trade fairs (in collaboration with MWM head office and regional Caterpillar corporate offices )
  • Supervision of preparation of technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with other stake holders within MWM head office
  • Management and coordination of technical and commercial proposal negotiation with both Direct customers and Partners
  • Ensuring a high level of forecasting accuracy for incoming orders and working closely with Head Office on Product delivery time

What You Have:

Industry Knowledge in Gas Energy Sector
  • Specialization in mechanical engineering/industrial engineering/electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of Industrial customers in assigned region, with special attention on Metal & Mining & Minerals, Chemical, Power Generation, Biogas power plant and other major industries in region

Customer Focus and Business Development
  • Proven experience in sales and/or project management in industrial environments, preferably in engine market business
  • Strong business sense and acumen

Effective Communications
  • Proficiency in fluent English language is a must
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Bahasa Melayu, Japanese or Korean will be a plus
  • Professional and confident appearance and the ability to represent the company in front of C-Suite of major customers in the region

Relationship Management
  • Provides effective responses to customers' requests and build strong relationships
  • High level of initiative, open-mindedness and intercultural curiosity to collaborate with internal stakeholders
