About The Role
As Business Development Director at Rolo Robotics, you will represent the product and lead all sales and deployment activities for the foodservice robotics systems, ensuring customer success and smooth running of the deployed units. Internally, you will represent the voice of customers in order to drive product development and to prepare for product commercialization.
This is a strategic and hands-on role supporting consumer experience, customer success, and ultimately business success at RoloRobotics - as well as pushing boundaries in industry-wide foodservice automation. You will help reimagine kitchens of tomorrow and help realize this vision today.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute product strategies.
• Build and grow relationships in order to drive sales, deployments, and supports for the foodservice robotics.
• Drive product features definition, prioritization, and commercialization in collaboration with customers and technical teams, developing peripheral systems & processes as required.
• Form strategic partnerships as necessary to support with roadmap.
• Track market trends, identify new markets, and recommend new products and services.
• Identify opportunities for the business to grow top & bottom line.
• Be the face of the product; act as first customers' contact point for query and troubleshooting purposes.
Required Qualifications
• A Masters degree in engineering.
• 10-15 years experience, including global experience in foodservice leading operation innovations & technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills.
• Experience developing and operating technical systems.
• Experience navigating franchise organizations.
• Experience driving hardware product vision, roadmap, development, pilot, & roll-out.
• Experience in partnerships with suppliers / innovators, operators, and investors within the foodservice ecosystem.
• Experience developing and launching new foodservice concepts.
• Experience working as interface between business and technical stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable in equipment food safety / sanitation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in start-ups.
• Experience leading & mentoring teams.
