Role Overview

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented individual to support our broking team in both client servicing and administrative functions. This role involves preparing insurance documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will contribute to business development, maintain accurate records, and assist in delivering tailored insurance solutions. Specific Responsibilities

Broking/Administration:
  • Develop strong relationships with clients
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive client and broking documents
  • Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties
  • Negotiates with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage and price.
  • Processing of slips, quotes, indications and endorsements
  • Attend client meetings, conferences, or industry events locally or overseas when required
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and support relationship-building with clients and underwriters
  • Technical duties (including data entry, credit control, chasing subjectivities)
  • Ensure up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems
  • Assist in planning the most appropriate insurance program for the client's demands and needs
  • Responsible for processing accounts post placement through to the invoice team
  • Ensuring accounts have been completed in accordance with best compliance practices before being sent to processing team
  • Manage relationships with operations teams which will involve daily dialogue
  • Responsibility to achieve processing KPI's in accordance with group practice
  • Responsibility for dealing with accounting queries that result from client queries

Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure correct authorization is obtained and processes followed when required by the Company and/or Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that performance, HR and T&C records are up to date and meet the Company and/or Group's requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately

Reporting
  • Provide relevant management information to senior management

Projects
  • Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required
  • Respond appropriately to urgent issues as they arise

Market Awareness
  • Keep informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the department
  • Share information that could be beneficial to the Company

Representing the Company
  • Any other reasonable duties, as required

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in insurance, broking, or client servicing
  • Applicants with more limited experience but possessing a positive attitude and future potential will also be considered
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written, negotiation skills and communication skills
  • High level of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and professionalism
  • The ability to think and react quickly in challenging situations and negotiations
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills, outgoing and friendly personality
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrates a proactive attitude toward personal and professional development
