Recruitment and Business Development Consultant - Contracting (BFSI Sector)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Recruitment and Business Development Consultant specializing in contract staffing and resource augmentaion solutions for the BFSI sector. The role focuses on sourcing skilled IT and non-IT professionals for contract assignments, managing client relationships, and driving business growth through strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment - Contracting (70%)

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for contract roles across BFSI clients, including sourcing, screening, shortlisting, coordinating interviews, and final selection.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of immediately available contractors and pre-qualified professionals for short-term and long-term assignments.
  • Use various sourcing channels, job boards, professional networks, and headhunting techniques to identify the right talent.
  • Negotiate contract terms, extensions, and rate cards with candidates in line with client budgets.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, compliance, and contractor management throughout the assignment period.
  • Maintain real-time knowledge of market rates, contract hiring trends, and availability of niche skills in the BFSI sector.

2. Business Development (30%)

  • Identify and pursue new contracting opportunities with BFSI clients, including banks, insurance firms, and fintech companies.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, procurement teams, and vendor management offices to secure contract mandates.
  • Develop proposals, pricing models, and tailored staffing solutions to meet client needs.
  • Maintain regular client interactions to understand upcoming project requirements and resource planning.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through contract placements, account expansions, and repeat business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience in contract staffing/recruitment and business development, preferably within the BFSI sector.
  • Strong understanding of BFSI project environments, vendor management systems (VMS), and contract staffing dynamics.
  • Proven track record in closing contracting roles under tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in ATS tools, MS Office Suite, and CRM software.
