Work Environment:
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Skills:
- Local SME (may be in industries like trading, logistics, manufacturing, services, or construction)
- Typically reports to Accounts Manager
- May support a small finance/admin team or be the only accounts person
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payable (AP):
- Handle supplier invoices - data entry, checking for accuracy
- Match invoices with purchase orders/delivery orders
- Prepare payment vouchers and cheque issuance
- Assist in monthly creditor reconciliation
2. Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Issue customer invoices and delivery orders
- Follow up on overdue payments
- Generate aging reports and update customer collection status
- Bank in cheques or monitor GIRO/PayNow receipts
3. General Ledger & Journal Entries:
- Perform monthly journal entries (e.g. accruals, prepayments, petty cash)
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain proper supporting documents and audit trail
4. Bank Reconciliation:
- Download bank statements and perform bank reconciliation
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure all transactions are captured
5. Data Entry & Filing:
- Accurately input data into accounting software (commonly SQL, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or even Excel)
- Maintain proper filing for invoices, receipts, and reports (digital and hardcopy)
6. GST and Compliance Support:
- Assist with quarterly GST filing (F5)
- Help prepare documents for audit or tax agents
- Ensure invoices meet IRAS requirements
7. Other Admin & Finance Support:
- Handle staff claims (e.g. petty cash, transport)
- Support HR with payroll inputs or CPF calculations (occasionally)
- Liaise with external vendors, banks, or auditors when necessary
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: NITEC / LCCI / Diploma in Accounting
- Experience: 1-3 years in accounting/admin roles (SME experience preferred)
- Familiar with accounting software (Excel proficiency is a must)
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently in a small office setup
