Assistant Manager / Manager- Corporate Communications

This role offers self-driven individuals a dynamic environment to strategise and implement impactful communications to elevate the corporate brand. In doing so, the individual will have the opportunity to nurture and lead the communications team, and hone their expertise in organisation-wide corporate communications and integrated marketing elements.

Job Responsibilities:

This role requires you to:

  1. Strategise and coordinate SINDA’s communications initiatives
  • Lead the team in conceptualising and executing integrated communications across multiple platforms to achieve corporate goals.
  • Manage communications campaigns to promote the company’s programmes, services and product launches.
  • Explore new platforms and identify media angles to increase the company’s reach.
  • Forecast, prepare and manage communications budgets.
  1. Oversee media management
  • Host media personnel and facilitate media management needs at corporate events and programmes.
  • Craft impactful messaging across press releases, speeches and content writing.
  • Oversee media monitoring.
  • Identify and train company spokespersons and media profiles.
  • Reply to media queries and assist in crisis communications, if necessary.
  1. Manage publication and content production
  • Oversee the production of publications and collateral in-house, or by external vendors.
  • Contribute to the production of marketing content.
  1. Manage team and maintain industry relations
  • Motivate and oversee staff in executing deliverables and foster a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments or represent department in managerial assignments.
  • Develop and maintain ties with industry partners.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma/Degree in mass communications/journalism/media communications, with at least five years of relevant experience, including managing teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced copywriting and content writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience on communications modes and platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of Tamil preferred, to create/oversee content for vernacular media platforms.
  • Knowledge of publication or design software will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of local media industry, with relevant media contacts.
  • Self-driven; able to work independently and in team settings.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders.
  • Flexible to work on weekday evenings and weekends and in outdoor settings, if required.
  • Able to participate in SINDA-wide events, when required.

Note: Candidates will be required to undertake a written test, as part of their interview

This is a 2- year contract position, convertible to a permanent role subject to the performance and divisional requirements.
