About the Role:

We are looking for a Food Production Planning Supervidor to oversee production scheduling and coordination within our food manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets both delivery timelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within the food industry, with excellent analytical and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
    Align production schedules with raw material availability, staffing, and equipment readiness.
  • Demand & Supply Coordination:
    Work closely with Sales, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to balance demand with production capabilities.
    Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or overproduction.
  • Capacity & Resource Planning:
    Analyze production capacity, man-hours, and equipment utilization to identify bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
    Recommend shift planning or overtime requirements to meet production goals.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
    Track actual production vs. plan, analyze variances, and adjust future plans accordingly.
    Generate and present regular planning reports and production KPIs to management.
  • System & Process Management:
    Maintain planning data in ERP or MRP systems.
    Continuously improve planning processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in food manufacturing with a strong focus on production planning.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Solid understanding of food production processes, shelf life, and hygiene practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple timelines.
