Job Description

Research Fellow (postdoc) position in the Department of Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering (ChBE) at National University of Singapore (NUS). The primary objective of this position is to develop smart synthesis methods to achieve atomic-level control over the structure and properties of functional nanomaterials.

The candidate will work on developing integrated platform with advanced algorithm for synthesis of metal nanoclusters, designing close-loop optimization, and exploring their applications in areas such as catalysis, photoluminescence, and biomedicine.

The research fellow is required to help in guiding young students, visiting scholars, and assisting the establishment of larger research applications and facilitating initiatives with respect to sharing and developing infrastructure for research within NUS.

Job Requirements

Applicants must hold a PhD in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in nanomaterial synthesis and advanced characterization techniques for metal nanoclusters (e.g., ESI-MS, MALDI-TOF, PL, XPS) is required. Master of programming languages such as Python and experience in device integration is a must. The candidate should have a strong research track record, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
