Job Summary:

We are looking for a Mainframe/Batch Monitoring Operator to monitor and conduct health checks to ensure that the mainframe and batch operations are performing as expected.

Mandatory Skill-set:

• Experience in mainframe/batch operations and monitoring.
• Proficiency with mainframe/batch monitoring tools.
• Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work nighttime and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the 24x7 monitoring of the mainframe systems, ensuring system availability, performance and security.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues as well as escalate problems as needed.
• Conduct system and batch monitoring and health checks using tools such as IBM IZMS (Omegamon), RMF, SDSF, etc. For example, z/OS, TSO, JES2 and subsystems such as CICS, DB2, MQ, etc.
• Perform L1 Change Request support.
• Perform L1 troubleshooting and escalation, such as
  a) Create PMR (Problem Management Record)
  b) Collect and upload must-gather documentation
  c) Collect and upload documentation that L3 recommends
• Helps system team to generate reports when required
