Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our lab in exploring the design, development, and applications of intelligent textiles and soft electronics. Our research integrates hardware and software systems to advance smart textiles and wearable systems for various applications, including health and well-being, human-computer interaction, robotics, interactive media, and immersive environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and program miniaturized hardware systems with seamless integration of sensors, actuators/haptics, and computing into textiles and wearables.
• Implement and test wireless and wired communication for distributed networks.
• Apply AI/ML techniques for analyzing dense multimodal data in real time.
• Integrate system-level solutions for interfacing with computers, smartphones, and AR/VR technologies.
• Explore various design and HCI applications of sensor networks
Qualifications
Qualifications
• University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, C#, Python, microcontroller, or AR/VR development.
• Experience in miniaturized hardware and wireless system.
• Background in AI/ML for generative design, data analysis, or pattern recognition.
• A great portfolio and publication record in areas related to soft technologies, human-computer interaction, wearable computing, or immersive environments.
Attributes
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in exploring emerging applications of intelligent textiles for health, human-computer interaction, and architectural applications.
