Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and identifying new business/project opportunities
- Understanding and satisfying customer needs, and improving the overall customer experience
- Supporting sales and business development in tender submission and RFQ
- Identifying needed resources to form, lead and manage the project team and ensuring its successful completion.
- Ensuring proactive tracking of project scope, cost, schedule, risks, and quality
- Ensuring on-budget, on-schedule, quality delivery of projects that meet business requirements
- Collaborating with relevant team leads to estimate WBS items
- Planning resources to ensure fair distribution of workload and consistent utilization of resources
- Developing detailed project plans and tracking project progress actively
- Providing timely escalation of Risks and Issues to Management and providing risk mitigation strategies
- Managing communication with stakeholders, both internal and external
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with customers and suppliers
- Ensuring project documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Conducting and running steering committees and ensuring timely updates to project sponsors and stakeholders
- Providing mentorship to team members and supporting their developmental growth
- Negotiating with higher authorities, including customers, whenever necessary and mediating conflicts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated working experience in project management, showcasing a strong understanding of the complete product life cycle process.
- Prior work experience in similar and/or related industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
- Exceptional project management skills and a comprehensive understanding of fundamental PM principles, including estimating and planning, risk management, status reporting, budget tracking, benefits analysis, stakeholder management and communication, and resource management. The candidate must be capable of applying these principles independently in complex scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. The candidate must be capable of conveying complex issues concisely and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate productive working relationships and exert influence.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and sustain high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to thoroughly evaluate problems and reach logical conclusions.
- Confidence and comfort in interacting with senior executives; the candidate must be able to provide well-reasoned analysis and communicate unpleasant news when necessary.
- Credibility and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
