ProductionKey Responsibilities
• \tProven work experience as a marine mechanic and or technician.
• \tTravel to the shipyard, docking site and maintenance area to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
• \tTest the performance of marine engines equipment and electrical systems.
• \tOverhaul and troubleshoot main engines and generators.
• \tEnsure all repairs, maintenance & overhaul jobs are completed in a timely manner.
• \tFollow service manual instructions for all repair procedures.
• \tFollow all safety standards and practices while working in the workshop and on-site.
• \tTo work independently to execute engine general repair and overhaul jobs on board/at site.
• \tKnowledge on performing dismantling, repair, replacement and reassembling of mechanical parts.
• \tConduct daily tool box meetings with teams prior to job commencement and ensuring safe work practices at all times.
• \tPlanning of job methodology and work schedule.
• \tKeep work areas clean and tidy at all times.
• \tOther ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• \tPossess minimum Nitec / Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 2 year working experiences.
• \tMust possess the skillsets and willing to perform HANDS-ON works in mechanical repairs, installations and removal of parts.
• \tIndependently perform engine repairs and overhauls on board or at the site, including dismantling, repairing, replacing, and reassembling mechanical parts.
• \tTroubleshoot machinery issues and propose repair solutions.
• \tGood command of spoken and written English.
• \tHighly organized, able to work with tight schedules to accommodate ship arrivals and or departure schedules.
• \tIndependent, resourceful, proactive, and a team player.
