The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

• To independently undertake research in LiDAR Depth Map Quality Assessment and Improvement.
• To produce research reports and/or publications as required by the funding body or for dissemination to the wider academic community.
• To provide guidance and support to any students associated with the project.
• To attend, contribute in relevant meetings.
• To undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree (or PhD thesis submitted) or at least 8 years working experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background in image processing, and computer graphics. Prior experience in 2D/3D/depth visual signal quality evaluation, simplification, restoration and generation, is preferable.
• Good publication records in related conferences/journals.
• Knowledge of scientific or engineering software.
