Prof Wei Lin Leong's lab in EEE Department of Nanyang Technological University is looking for a Research Fellow to contribute to project related to tactile sensors. Our lab focuses on developing organic/hybrid semiconducting devices with features of high flexibility, conformability, printability to enable energy-autonomous systems for digitizing the human body and richer human-robot interaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on organic electronic devices (such as transistors) and understand the fundamental properties in these organic devices, ionic and electronic charge conduction
- Develop organic tactile sensor devices for wearable electronics and soft robotics
- Carry out the fabrication and testing of these tactile sensors
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in relevant discipline area such as Chemistry/Materials Science/Electrical Engineering/Electronics
- Preferably at least 1 year experience in design, device fabrication and characterization of flexible and wearable electronics, especially for the flexible devices and E-skin
- Strong background in the development of solution-processed electronic devices, especially on organic semiconductors
- Direct hands-on experience with nanomaterials such as electrically-active polymers, electrolytes, polymer composites and nanofibers
- Experience in micro/nano-fabrication tools and exposure to printing equipment (eg. ink-jet, screen-printing) is preferable
- Good communication skills in written and oral English
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently without supervision
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
