Job Title

Manufacturing / Production Engineer (Automotive Vehicle Components Fabrication & Repair )

Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Production (Primary Scope)

  • Plan, organise and supervise manufacturing and fabrication operations for vehicle-related metal components, including brackets, guards, supports and structural accessories.
  • Develop, improve and control manufacturing processes, work methods and production workflow to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee fabrication activities such as cutting, drilling, bending, welding, grinding and spray painting, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers and subcontractors on materials, components, tooling and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct production quality inspections, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
  • Supervise and guide junior technicians and production staff, allocate work and monitor workmanship consistency.

Automotive Engineering & Repair (Integrated Scope)

  • Lead vehicle inspection, diagnostics and troubleshooting, including mechanical failure investigation and root-cause analysis.
  • Plan and oversee repair, servicing and overhaul activities for automotive systems, ensuring technical accuracy and reliability.
  • Translate customer and operational feedback into manufacturing or repair process improvements.
  • Provide technical advice to customers, dealers and internal teams on vehicle condition, repair feasibility and improvement options.
  • Support evaluation activities related to buying and selling of vehicles, including technical condition assessment.

Continuous Improvement & Coordination

  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation across manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Participate in customer or dealer discussions / focus sessions when required to support product or service enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, operational and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in automotive mechanical engineering, manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong hands-on practical experience in vehicle repair, diagnostics and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience in metal fabrication / manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
  • Experience related to vehicle trading (buying and selling) is an added advantage.
  • Able to supervise staff, work with suppliers, and communicate effectively with customers.
