Responsibilities for Project Planner:
  • Responsible for preparing, monitoring and maintaining project schedule and progress plans throughout the life of the project(s). Provide proactive feedback and inputs to the project team(s) on all aspects concerning project's schedule & cost performances and forecasts. Provide weekly/monthly project updates and detailed reports as required by the Project Manager.
  • Independently develop & maintain resource/costs
  • Obtain and review schedule plans and manpower reports from engineering, procurement, and construction subcontractors and routinely update the project status.
  • Analyze project performance, conduct critical path analysis, produce reports and assist the Project Team members, recommending proactive corrective actions to mitigate potential impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Assist Project Manager in the preparation of weekly/monthly project reports for Clients and Company's Exec Mgt.
  • Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  • Examines and analyses production specifications and capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools, and human resource requirements

Responsibilities for Scheduler:
  • Responsible for supporting the project team by utilizing project planning documents and output from the interactive planning process as a basis for developing the project schedule
  • Obtain the input from project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients to support the development of the project schedule and subsequently update schedule progress and forecasting
  • Evaluate schedule alternatives to support project changes and provide timely analysis and reporting to the project team
  • Prepares production schedules for business unit or organization
  • Arranges and accelerates flow of equipment, materials, parts, assemblies and other materials according to schedules.
  • Checks schedules and related information and confers with others to determine requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material
  • Requisites material and establishes sequential delivery dates
  • Arrange transfer of materials to meet schedules

Requirements:

5 to 7 years' working experience in planning /scheduling function on EPC projects
A good bachelor degree in engineering is preferred
Thoroughly conversant with planning tools and software suites including Primavera, Microsoft Office and MS Project. Working knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
