Job Description - Vehicle Mechanic / Panel Beater (Singapore)
Responsibilities
• Diagnose, repair, and restore vehicle body panels damaged by accidents, corrosion, or wear.
• Carry out welding, cutting, filling, sanding, and shaping of metal and composite panels.
• Replace or repair structural and non-structural vehicle body parts (doors, bumpers, fenders, bonnets, roofs, etc.).
• Conduct dent removal, body alignment, and finishing work to factory standards.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring smooth and accurate finish.
• Use specialized equipment (hydraulic jacks, welding machines, grinders, sanders, etc.) safely and effectively.
• Inspect vehicles post-repair to ensure safety, structural integrity, and aesthetic quality.
• Collaborate with mechanics, painters, and service advisors to complete jobs efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in workshop according to company and regulatory standards.
• Provide accurate time estimates for repair jobs and support workshop productivity targets.
Requirements
• Minimum 2-5 years experience as a Panel Beater / Vehicle Mechanic (more senior roles may require 8-15 years).
